You Can Help
Join others in the effort to build homes for those in need in the Moses Lake Area.
You or your business can donate materials, equipment, time and effort. New construction materials, lumber,
concrete, insulation roofing materials hardware, windows door frames, doors, light fixtures, lawn trees, and caulking materials
are just of the materials that are needed but the list of needed materials is endless.
Every project needs skilled people to voulenteer along but there is also a need for regular people to swing hammers.
Volunteers are needed in fund raising, project management, construction supervison, architecture design,
mangement consulation, skilled heavy equipment operators and any person just wanting to help.
Every Habitat home needs the use, perodically, of equipment such as power tools, hand tools, fork lifts and backhoes
light trucks and vans, lighting, power equipment, cement mixers and heavy duty trucks.
Annual Festival of Trees
If volunteering your time is not in your schedule, consider donating financially. Each year on the
Saturday following Thanksgiving, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Moses Lake holds its Annual
Festival of Trees. It is a prestigious and fun annual event. Over a dozen wonderfully decorated
Christmas trees are auctioned off raising money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity of Greater
Moses Lake. The Festival of Trees is our major fundraiser and is the primary source of our funding for
our houses.
The 2008 14th Annual Habitat for Humanity Festival of trees will be held Saturday, November 29th at
the Big Bend Community College ATEC Building. There will be 12 wonderfully decorated trees
auctioned off along with additional items in the silent and the live auction. For move information please
contact Curtis Robillard at 509-765-0924 or any Habitat Board Member.
